Power Form 7 v2.6.0 Update: The One Where We Make CF7 Play Nice

Power Form 7 v2.6.0 Update: The One Where We Make CF7 Play Nice

Great news, Power Form 7 fans! We’ve dropped version 2.6.0, and it’s ready to go with Contact Form 7 v6.0.

If you’re still rocking an older version of our plugin, you’ll want to hit that update button before you install Contact Form 7 v6.0.

Why? Well, because things broke. 🙁

v2.6.0 is compatible with Contact Form 7 v6.0

Contact Form 7 went through some serious changes in version 6.0. It tightened up the form processing loop and added some sanity checks to reduce automated submissions. If you use the “Submit a Contact Form 7 form” action you will see failures in your flows until you upgrade.

The “When a Contact Form 7 form is submitted” trigger works without needing to upgrade.

With v2.6.0, you’ll be able to rely on the plugin for all actions and triggers.

The upgrade also introduces a new versioning scheme that should help us (and you) keep up with CF7’s updates more easily. So next time CF7 decides to evolve, we’ll be ready for it—and so will you. We’ll do our best to keep the version numbers similar to CF7, but new features may change this.

Feel free to check out our changelog and see how we’re always tweaking, fixing, and making things better. Version 2.2.7 added compatibility for WordPress 6.6.0, and we even sorted out some pesky update check issues during license activation.

When it comes to Microsoft and WordPress, we’ve got your automation needs covered. Well, at least until CF7 decides to change things again—but hey, that’s what we’re here for!
